I have owned several striker fired 9mm handguns through the years and decided to try a 1911 Single Stack in 9mm, and I am impressed with the Tisas Stingray. It is as accurate as I am, and it was very enjoyable to shoot. Minimal recoil and it worked with flawlessly with every type of ammo I put through it. The trigger is the perfect weight, for me and allowed me to shoot consistent groups from about 10 yds to 25 yds. I even had a few admirers come check it out and compliment how well it shot. I have guns that cost more than this that are not as smooth or accurate!

I purchased this to see if it would be good for EDC. I wanted something that would hold at least 10 rounds, be very accurate and have a good trigger. 1911s typically have the best trigger because they are single action and have an extremely short reset. This makes the 1911 faster than anything else out of the box with the exception of very high dollar competition handguns. I have a about 800 rounds through my stingray and the only issue I ever had was the slide didn't lock back after the last round. I purchased two new 10 round magazines to replace the 9 round magazines and that solved the problem. I would recommend the stingray to anyone interested in 1911s.
