MAC 1014 Magazine Extension, Black

Works great as intended

I was hesitant to buy this extension based on other reviews I had read. I’m glad I bought it anyway. If there were issues before with not being able to tighten it all the way down on the threads SDS has resolved it. It was a quick and easy install and fits 7 shells tightened all the way down with no issues. It feeds the shells into the chamber reliably with no malfunctions so far. Overall I’m very pleased with what I got.

Like many other comments say the new tube extension doesn't cover the threads all the way. Also it doesn't come with any instructions for the instillation.

Well, as far as functionality, this will work. But as far as design and look, it's not the greatest only because (as others have also said) the connection point in the middle of the tube is too short. It doesn't fully cover the threads on either end that it's being screwed into which is super annoying. It needs to be slightly longer to screw in farther or just lengthen the tube without threads on the ends so it would at least cover the threads it's going over. If this were corrected, it'd definitely be 5 stars. Install is pretty easy but you will probably need snap pliers and be careful when separating/reassembling. I got my hand caught between a piece and it sliced it right open. Overall I'd say 3 stars.

Well made and easy to install. Only giving 4*'s because the spring that comes with it is too long. It was trying to double feed rounds onto the ramp. Switched to the original spring and it shot fine.

Fit and finish was flawless, great investment to upgrade the performance of your scattergun. Don’t think about it, just do it. You’ll be glad you did.

There are issues. Ideally this would screw down tight onto the magazine tube in the gun and be the perfect length with all the threads covered. It does not. The threaded joint connector is not long enough. When I screwed it tight to the main tube and left threads showing towards the muzzle end of the joint, the magazine would only hold 5 rounds. You have to leave threads showing on BOTH sides of the joint to get it to accept all 7 rounds. It should screw together tight on both sides of the joint with no threads showing and have the perfect amount left for the end cap. I don't understand why this wasn't engineered better at the factory. It's a military clone - it should be idiot-proof. Also kinda pricey considering the issues and the price of the shotgun.

Installed in about 5 minutes. No intructions but pretty self explanatory. You will have to remove extension tube to remove barrel for PMS. A little inconvenient but for 2 more rounds it's the best bang for your buck. Don't buy any non Mac 1014 extension tubes as they are prone to get hung up. I've put 250 rds through it zero issues.
