Mac IX

I own the Mac 5 and the Mac 5K I wanted another 5K and saw the Mac IX at a local gun show and knew the success of my Mac 5's so I purchased the IX and haven't looked back. I have put over 1k rounds thru the weapon in a short time and only have had one misfire which was an ammo issue not the weapon. I removed the factory sights and put Magpul flip front and rear sights, a Vortex red dot with quick release, tac-light and Kungfu grip and hand stop. I also put a binary trigger in, had to keep the original hammer (FYI) but it shoots like a dream I also added a Strike Industry side folding brace. I understand the hesitation on purchase of the Turkish clones and weapons but the three I have purchased from MAC run smooth. I have made the Mac IX my bag/truck gun and don't leave home without it.

Took a chance...not disappointed!

I had wanted an mp5 "type" gun for quite awhile, but didn't have the mp5 monies. I took a chance on the Mac IX. It is awesome! I had taken chances on Turkish weapons in the past, with varying success. SAR9 - great. The last two Girsan/EAA guns - complete and total garbage. Not so with the MAC IX. It shoots well and often. The trigger is actually pretty good, and felt recoil is completely manageable. I threw a folding brace and an optic on board and was ready to roll. It even does decently suppressed, if you don't mind a little second hand smoke in your face. :) If you saw this gun and were maybe on the fence, don't be. Get one before the prices go stupid. You won't be disappointed.
