Another classic being resurrected by Military Armament Corporation is the new MAC Knife based on a design known the world over for its use in combat around the globe. Originally designed to give troops serving in Vietnam a more modern knife for use in hand-to-hand combat, it went on to be extremely popular among troops during the conflict and beyond. Today the MAC Knife starts with a 440C blade that is ground and heat treated to 60HRc for a durable cutting edge that is easy to maintain. The aluminum handle features a matte gray finish with a subtle texture that blends well with the contrasting pommel and guard. Each MAC Knife comes with a military style leather sheath.

MAC Mk II knife
Quality rendition of the popular military blade from almost fifty years ago minus the canted blade, thankfully, of the original however. Fairly priced to boot!

MK II knife
I love the knife and the sheath. The blade and handle look good and feel good. The only problem I have is that the blade is VERY dull. I understand it’s a fighting knife and meant more for stabbing. However, it should at least be able to easily cut soft tissue and the way it arrived I don’t think it would cut soft tissue without applying significant pressure. It’s a pathetic edge really. So if you buy one be prepared to sharpen the blade.

Very good looking reproduction of the original. Well made.

MK II Knife
Decent reproduction of the Gerber Mark II Fighting Knife. The sheath REEKED of chemicals and smells I've NEVER associated with cowhide, and the knife will not fully seat into the sheath all the way down, stopping about a 1/4" short. If I were standing in front of a pile of them, I'd pick another one, but it's not bad enough to return.

MAC MK II purchase
Well worth the money… This is an excellent knife even if it wasn’t a reproduction of an excellent knife! I own a Gerber MK II which I bought in 1985 and carried during my service. The MAC MK II is a well made copy of the earlier models, original Gerber MK II knives like this are rare and expensive collectables. I think the MAC MK II will become a collectable in its own right because it has been executed so well.

The MAC MK II is a Great knife
I bought one of these and was really impressed with the quality so I bought another one! I have a Gerber MK II from 1983 to compare the MAC to and MAC has got it right. It really captures the form and quality of the early Gerber MK II. I hope MAC makes some more soon!

MAC MkII knife
A faithful reproduction of the original MkII but at a great price. Handle texture is a little slick compared to original but still very good.
