The color was in-between the dark brown and black plastic grips, but that's the nature of walnut.
These walnut grips make the pistol look great and they feel good in my hands. Will order again.

Unbiased Review
I ordered two sets of these to replace the mil-spec plastic grips. Shipping was quick and the quality is consistent with all Tisas USA products I've seen. Obviously the fit & workmanship was perfect. The only issue was the color was slightly darker than what I'd consider ideal. Certainly not a deal breaker. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat. Light buffing with steel wool then oiling and the color lighted up just enough to make me very happy. They made a world of difference in looks & feel.

grips a lot darker than what was shown on website. I'm sur they will work fine. not what i was expecting.

Really nice reproduction
It is my understanding that the original 1911s were equipped with grips like these, but the U.S. was quickly dropped because of the expense associated with the checkering. These grips are beautiful, and offer history buffs a chance to equip their 1911s, whether original or reproductions, with the original grip design. Thank you, Tisaş!

Disappointed, had to wait over 3 months for you to get them back in stock
They did not look like what you show in the picture, they were completely all dark, I had to try sand in the diamonds and the US black to lighten it up a little bit
